First impressions: Makeup Revolution's Girls on Film Palette

21 July 2014

Having already looked at the Run Boy Run palette from Makeup Revolution, I now want to talk you through my first impressions of their Girls on Film palette. This one has even more shades that I can definitely see myself wearing, and I can straight away see which my favourites are bound to be!

We've got the same lovely packaging as Run Boy Run, and the same layout with the shimmers on top and a row of mattes down the bottom.

Starting from the top row, it's a very similar story to Run Boy Run. All of these shades are extremely wearable, but I'd probably give Walking Hand in Hand a miss. Camera Rolling and Polaroid Heaven are particularly gorgeous.

On the second row, we have more beautiful neutrals. Lights Flashing, Frenzy All Down Your Spine, and Lipstick Over the Lens have to be my favourites, but really I love all of these shades.

I definitely prefer these mattes to the ones in the Run Boy Run palette, there's slightly more pigmentation and I could see them being easier to wear on their own. Girls on Film though, I'm not even sure why I bothered swatching it! It's exactly the same shade as my skin and if I hadn't labelled it I'd have forgotten it was there completely.

You can find the Girls on Film palette here for £6.
